Reduced gas consumption cuts costs at Metinvest's Ilyich
Metinvest's Ilyich steelworks (MMKI) has decreased production costs and logistical expenses by reducing natural gas consumption.
Thanks to the reduction of natural gas by 69 million cubic meters, or by 40% if calculated based on use per tonne of steel output since 2013, MMKI has saved over UAH 500 million ($19.4m), Kallanish learns from the company.
