Metallus secures US Army funding for artillery expansion
Metallus has entered into an agreement for up to $99 million in funding in support of a project to increase artillery shell production, Kallanish notes.
Canton, Ohio-based Metallus manufactures high-performance specialty metals that are ideal for the new project with US Army.
The agreement is for up to $99m in funding, with half of that already committed, and the balance subject to mutual agreement as final project details are presented to the Army.
