Metallurgical coal to decline on stable supply: Australia
The Australian premium hard coking coal price is expected to ease to around $203/tonne by 2025, from an average projection of $293/t in 2023, according to the industry ministry’s latest Resources and Energy quarterly report seen by Kallanish.
Over the outlook period, more stable supply and weaker demand should result in a moderate decline in prices, though weather events and conflict around the Black Sea region add to upside risks, the report says.
