Mercedes Benz doubles capacity at Turkish truck plant
Mercedes Benz Turk, a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG, has broken ground for a project to double the production capacity at its truck manufacturing plant in Aksaray, Istanbul.
Mercedes Benz Turk reached a production record of 19,688 trucks and trailers at the Aksaray plant last year. It expects to complete the €113 million ($127m) project by the end of 2018, the company says in a statement emailed to Kallanish.
