Merafe sees ferrochrome production inch down
South Africa’s Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) saw a marginal shrink in its attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture (JV) in the first quarter.
MRL recorded an on-year output fall in Q1 of 3.1% to 100,000 tonnes, from 103,000t in Q1 2021, says Merafe, without giving sales or revenue figures.
