Ferrochrome prices increase for fourth quarter: Merafe
The European benchmark ferrochrome price for the fourth quarter has been settled at $1.80/lb, a 15.4% increase from Q3, advises South Africa’s Merafe in a stock exchange filing.
In the first half of the year, the company’s ferrochrome output rose 66% on-year to 199,000 tonnes. It recorded a revenue surge of 60% on-year to ZAR 3.74 billion ($252.5 million), with ferrochrome sales comprising 86.2% and chrome ore sales 13.8%.
