Merafe foresees strong ferrochrome demand after record output
Ferrochrome demand growth will be underpinned in 2019 by global GDP and stainless steel output growth, with Indonesia’s contribution to the stainless industry continuing to become more significant. So says South African ferrochrome producer Merafe Resources, adding, however, that the performance of electricity supplier Eskom remains a key risk factor this year.
