Merafe ferrochrome production slightly increases in 2022
In the fourth quarter of 2022, South African-listed miner Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) saw a marginal decrease in its attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture (JV).
In January-December, MRL recorded an on-year output increase by 1.3% to 384,000t versus 379,000t in 2021. However, Q4 production inched down 5% to 97,000 tonnes, from 102,000t in Q4 2021, Kallanish understands.
