MENA, US drive Turkey's May rebar exports fall
Turkish rebar exports declined on-year in May as shipments to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the US decreased notably. This was partly offset by a surge in exports to the Far East, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Turkey's May rebar exports fell by -21.4% y-o-y to 441,282 tonnes. The overall average value/tonne of these exports rose to $433/tonne from $410/t a year earlier.
