Melewar’s losses narrow on improved steel prices

Malaysian steelmaker Melewar Industrial Group has seen its net losses narrow in its financial second quarter ended December 31, 2023 as steel prices improve, Kallanish notes. Melewar says in a bourse filing that it posted a narrower net loss of MYR 4.01 million ($848,000) in the second quarter, as compared to MYR 11.87m a year earlier.
