Meijin Steel to build steel industrial park
Shanxi Meijin Steel has signed an agreement with the Yuanping municipal government to build a green manufacturing industrial park. Meijin Steel aims to realise a full production chain in the city, from iron to steel bar.
It expects to reach a total capacity of 1.2 million tonnes/year of iron ore pellet, 3.52m t/y of iron and 3.09m t/y of crude steel at the plant, Kallanish notes. The total investment will be CNY 11.96 billion ($1.86 billion).
