Mechel’s Yakutugol eyes coal production ramp-up
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Yakutugol coking coal company increased production in March, the firm says.
Coal production at the company's open pit mines last month amounted to 520,000 tonnes, up by 18% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The volume of stripping works reached 1.7 million cubic meters, which exceeded the results of March of the previous year by 175%.
Coal processing in March amounted to 400,000t, more by 128% compared with February.
