Mechel's third-quarter coal, steel output fall on repairs
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel saw a reduction in output of most products in the third quarter due to equipment overhauls and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sales volumes fell for washed coal, ferrosilicon, long and flat rolled steel products and stampings. But they increased for iron ore concentrate, metallurgical coke, forgings and sections, the company says in a statement sent to Kallanish.
