Asia demand lifts Mechel coal sales

Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel saw a reduction in output of some products in the first half of the year, although run-of-mine coal production increased on higher demand. Sales volumes increased for washed coal, rails, forgings, long and flat rolled steel products.
