Mechel’s Moskoks production continues despite fire
Russian miner and steel producer Mechel’s Moscow Coke and Gas Plant (Moskoks) located in Vidnoye continues to produce coke despite being hit by a fire on Sunday night, the company tells Kallanish.
"This [affected] site is not associated with the production of coke; all contracts with consumers will be executed,” a company spokesperson notes. “Coke oven gas cleaning is operating normally and there is no threat to the environment.”…
