Covid-19-induced demand drop hampers Mechel second-quarter earnings
Mechel's second-quarter consolidated revenue slipped -4% quarter-on-quarter to RUB 64.5 billion ($881 million), while Ebitda fell by -33% to RUB 8.9 billion.
The decline was due to Covid-19-related restrictions that impacted the structure of demand for the company’s products, which put pressure on sales, the enterprise says in a note seen by Kallanish.
