Mechel's Chelyabinsk to supply rails for Moscow Metro
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, a unit of Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel, has won a tender to supply rails for the Moscow Metro, Kallanish learns from a Mechel statement.
Under the RUB 1.5 billion ($25.9 million) agreement, Chelyabinsk will produce and deliver 35,000 tonnes of rails to be used in the consturction of the second Circle Line of the metro.
