Mechel’s BMK improves rod production quality
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Beloretsk steelworks (BMK) will launch two new belt grinders to improve the quality of wire rod produced, the company says.
The total investment is about RUB 28 million ($378,332) and is part of BMK’s project to modernise wire rope production worth RUB 1.5 billion. This will be implemented through 2023, Kallanish notes.
