Mechel reduces emissions with coke oven upgrade
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel has completed the next phase of environmental production upgrades at its Mechel-Coke plant, the company says.
The reconstruction of coke oven battery No.8 will reduce harmful emissions, Kallanish notes. Investments in the project amounted to RUB 218 million ($3m).
