Mechel ramps up ferrosilicon shipments following furnace upgrade

Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel increased ferrosilicon sales in 2021 at its Bratsk ferroalloy plant, the company says. Shipments amounted to 78,000 tonnes, up by 22% on-year, Kallanish notes.
