Mechel ore mines increase output after repairs
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel’s Korshunovsky and Rudnogorsky mines increased iron ore production 8% on-month in April to 611,000 tonnes, the company says.
The mined ore is sent to the Korshunovsky GOK (KGOK) enrichment plant to obtain high-quality iron ore concentrate. Finished products are supplied to the main customer – Mechel’s Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.
