Mechel increases rail shipments, secures new export destination

Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel increased shipment of rails and profiles for railcar manufacturing in January-April, the company says. The volume amounted to 145,000 tonnes, up by 3.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. Product supplied was produced at the Chelyabinsk steel plant.
