Mechel increases shipments for railway, construction
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel’s Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant has increased sales of rolled steel, the company says.
In January-November, shipments amounted to 585,000 tonnes, up by 10% on-year, Kallanish notes. Sales of shaped profiles – channels, various profiles and angles – used in the construction industry and train building, as well as mining, rose by 44%.
