Asian demand lifts Mechel's July coke shipments
Russian miner and steel producer Mechel’s Moscow Coke and Gas Plant (Moskoks) increased July shipments of metallurgical coke, the company says.
The deliveries amounted to 50,500 tonnes, up by 10% on-year and 9% more compared with the previous month, Kallanish notes.
“The growth in production and sales of coke products was mainly due to export shipments, in particular to China and India,” says plant managing director Sergei Belan.
