Mechel returns to profit in H1
Russian steelmaker Mechel posted revenue of RUB 130.1 billion ($2 billion) in the first half of 2016, similar to revenue recorded in H1 2015, Kallanish learns from the company. Operating profit increased, however, by 23% to RUB 17.2 billion, and the firm returned to a net profit of RUB 8.3 billion versus a year-earlier loss of RUB 16.7 billion.
