MCC22 bags new furnace contract for Shenyin Steel
According to the official website of China Metallurgical Group Corporation, its MCC22 subsidiary has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a blast furnace at Ningxia Shenyin Special Steel.
The newly-planned 1,250-cubic-metre blast furnace has a designed capacity of 1.15 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. Shenyin intends to start construction of the furnace in 2020 but it has not yet detailed the commissioning date.
