MCC signs blast furnace contract with Shandong Fulun
According to an announcement from China Metallurgical Corp (MCC), its subsidiary MCC Huatian has signed a blast furnace design contract with Shandong Fulun Steel.
The design work of the project has begun, and the construction is planned to start this year, Kallanish notes.
Shandong Fulun plans to construct a new 2,500-cubic-metre blast furnace with 2.13 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. Blast furnace commissioning is due in 2022.
