MBMA’s total ore mined falls in first quarter
Indonesian miner Merdeka Battery Materials' (MBMA) total material mined during the first quarter ended 31 March 2024 was 2.1 million wet metric tonnes (wmt), down from 3.3m wmt in December quarter last year, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a statement that the ore mined comprised 1.2m wmt of limonite ore, 500,000 wmt of saprolite ore and 400,000 wmt of waste.
