EU construction activity nears six-year peak
European construction activity recovered further in May, reaching the highest monthly level this year and nearing the six-year peak registered in December 2017, Kallanish learns from Eurostat data.
Overall EU28 construction output grew 2.6% year-on-year in May. Poland continued to be the fastest-growing large construction market, with 23.3% y-o-y growth, while France was among the worst performers with a -4.1% contraction.
