Masteel’s 3Q net profit falls
Steel firm Malaysia Steel Works (KL) (Masteel) has reported lower net profit in the third quarter, as margins were squeezed by the increase in utilities costs and higher finance cost, Kallanish notes.
The group says in a bourse filing that its net profit fell 38.1% to MYR 1.84m ($390,000) in the third quarter from MYR 2.98m a year ago.
