Marubeni-Itochu to open Myanmar office
Japanese trader Marubeni-Itochu Steel says it will open a new representative office in Myanmar’s Yangon after recently receiving government approval. In addition to trading interests, the company has joined a galvanising project there, Kallanish notes.
The new office will initially consist of one chief representative and two staff, and will be tasked with expanding the company’s business now that the economy is opening up.
