US plate prices hold, market optimistic
US plate prices remained in the range of $1,500-1,530/short ton this week following two consecutive weeks of slippage, Kallanish reports.
“Prices are still good as there is speculation that July prices will remain the same or increase slightly. Lead times are down along with overall business conditions. Nucor remains a few months away from full production, which will be the most influential factor to impact prices at that time,” a distributor explains.…
