March total steel imports up from February
Total US steel imports climbed significantly in March, but finished steel imports slipped slightly, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Citing preliminary Census Bureau data, AISI reports that the US imported 2.569 m st of steel in March, which includes 2.097m st of finished steel.
Total steel imports are up 12.9% from February, but finished steel imports are down 0.1%, Kallanish understands.
