Demand for Italian coil falls in March
March has been a particularly difficult month for the Italian market in terms of demand for coil. Market participants say that prices are stable versus last week, but local producers have a hard time increasing prices due to patchy final demand. Lower-priced hot rolled coils imports from Turkey are not helping to support any attempt to increase domestic prices, Kallanish notes.
