Marcegaglia partners with ArcelorMittal on Ilva acquisition proposal
Marcegaglia Group is working on a proposal to acquire troubled Italian steelmaker Ilva in partnership with Luxemburg-based steelmaking giant ArcelorMittal, the Italian tubemaker tells Kallanish.
The news emerged after the annual meeting of the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission (Consob). During an interview, the group’s managing director, Emma Marcegaglia, disclosed that the offer will be submitted within ten days.
