Marcegaglia, Sideralba create Tunisian downstream coil joint venture
Italian re-rollers Marcegaglia and Sideralba have created a 50/50 joint venture in Tunisia called SM Tunis Acier, to strengthen their presence in the local cold rolled and hot-dipped galvanized coil market, Kallanish learns from Marcegaglia.
The partners have invested a combined €10 million ($10.8m) in an existing facility previously owned by Sideralba, with the objective to double its CRC and HDG production capacity to 400,000 tonnes/year by 2023.
