Chinas manufacturing slows in December
China’s manufacturing sector contracted in December for the first time since May 2014, according to the latest HSBC China manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI). Worryingly, prices of manufacturing inputs, such as steel, fell at the fastest pace in nine months, Kallanish notes.
