Malaysia’s car production grows in 1H
Malaysia’s car production in the first half increased by 8% to 392,052 units from 362,535 units a year ago, Kallanish notes.
The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) says in a note that the higher total production volume in first half 2024 was in tandem with the surge in demand for new vehicles.
June production stood at 49,811 units, down 14% from 58,051 units a year earlier.
