Malaysia's Alliance plans to expand into plate production
Malaysia’s leading steel producer has moved forward with plans to expand its steelworks located on the eastern coast of Pahang. Alliance Steel signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday for a second-phase expansion with an investment of MYR 5 billion ($1.19 billion), Kallanish understands.
The company plans to enter into production of flat steel, including plate, at its existing 710-acre site located at the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park. …
