Malaysian Customs seize smuggled steel
Malaysian Customs seized nearly MYR 10 million ($2.37m) of smuggled steel last month. There was no formal import procedure carried out for these products, Kallanish notes from the Customs document.
Customs director general Datuk Seri Abdul Latif Abdul Kadir says the seizure was made during Operation Waja which lasted from 29 June to 2 July.
