Malaysia achieves record new car production in 2023
Malaysia has achieved record new car production in 2023, in tandem with higher overall sales, Kallanish notes.
The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) says in a statement that the total industry production (TIP) of new vehicles in 2023 increased by 10% to reach a total of 774,600 units compared to 702,275 units in 2022.
This was the second consecutive year the TIP exceeded the 700,000 units mark.
