Maintenance reduces Vale's Oman plant pellet output
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant reported a -10.6% on-year decline in production in the first quarter to 1.97 million tonnes. This was due to scheduled maintenance at line A in January and line B in February.
Compared to the December-2018 quarter, output fell -24.6%.
