Mahindra starts CSC, Mitsui autosheet joint venture
India’s Mahindra Group says it has opened an autosheet blanking joint venture with Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) and Japan’s Mitsui & Co (Asia Pacific) in Maharashtra state. The plant will supply nearby car factories including those run by Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz, Kallanish notes.
The $17 million plant will be able to process around 130,000 tonnes/year of autosheet. It is 51% owned by Mahindra Intertrade and 24.5% each by CSC …
