Magnaplate closes in California over water dispute
Metals coater General Magnaplate Corp is closing its Ventura, California, facility after a Clean Water Act dispute with the state, Kallanish understands.
California’s Environmental Defense Center (EDC) alleges that General Magnaplate California dumped tainted storm water into the Santa Clara River. This is a charge that Magnaplate “… vigorously denies.” Magnaplate settled the lawsuit with the EDC.
