Magang overhauls blast furnace
Anhui-based Ma'anshan Iron & Steel (Magang) is overhualing its B blast furnace as plannned.
The blast furnace has a 4,000 cubic-metre inner volume and 3.2 million tonnes/year of hot metal capacity, Kallanish notes. It has gained the environmental approval from local government and will restart at the end of 2022.
