Magang expands Luohe iron ore capacity

China's Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission has approved a plan by Ma'anshan Iron and Steel (Magang) to expand capacity at its Luohe iron ore mine. The project will now enter the preliminary design phase, Kallanish notes. Magang plans to add an extra 2 million tonnes/year capacity on top of the first-phase 3 m t/y.
