Magang to cut capacity, and perhaps add
Eastern China’s Ma’anshan Iron and Steel (Magang) has said it intends to eliminate 4.2 million tonnes/year of steelmaking capacity by the end of 2018. It still has not released many details of its plan to build a new large blast furnace which it will use to increase its focus on autosheet, Kallanish notes.
