Magang to cut iron/steelmaking capacities, raises longs' prices
Ma’anshan Iron & Steel (Magang) in eastern China's Anhui province decided at a board meeting on 14 February that it will cut 640,000 tonnes/year of steel and 620,000 t/y of iron capacity this year. The steelmaker has meanwhile been steadily increasing its long products prices amid growing demand, Kallanish notes.
