Magang constructs new bright bar capacity
China’s Ma’anshan Iron & Steel (Magang) started construction of a new 400,000 tonne/year steel bar production line on 9 April, according to Csteelnews. The plant is estimated to begin hot testing around February 2018, and will mainly produce 16-90mm high quality alloy steel bars for the automotive sector, Kallanish notes.
