Magang commissions new BF despite capacity reduction requests
China’s Maanshan Iron and Steel (Magang) has just put a new 3,200 cubic metre blast furnace into operation. The company has been increasing its autosheet output and was delaying the closure of some of its outdated steelmaking capacity, Kallanish notes.
